California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) was founded in 1966 to advance the interests of the profession of Land Surveying, to maintain the highest possible standards of professional ethics and practice, to encourage uniformity of practices and procedures, and to foster public faith in and understanding of Land Surveyors and their work.
Established in January of 1981 as the Los Angeles-Ventura Chapter, we stretched across over 2000 square miles until breaking off into two separate groups, giving birth to the Channel Islands Chapter in October 1986. Now serving the Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, we provide the primary focus for members and operate as their principal source of information about State activities affecting Land Surveyors and the surveying profession.
We welcome and encourage the participation of our members. Our Chapter meets on the third Thursday of every month and we work hard to provide interesting, relevant topics of discussion led by speakers with diverse experience in the land surveying field. There is always room to grow and get involved, so join us at our next meeting! Visit the Calendar of Events page or view the latest newsletter in our Newsletter Archive, to find details about the location of our next meeting.
“Recognizing that the true merit of a profession is determined by its service to society, the Channel Islands Chapter of the California Land Surveyor’s Association does hereby dedicate itself to advancing the profession of land surveying because of its social and economic contributions to the welfare of the community, state, and nation.” -Channel Islands CLSA Mission Statement
